Description

Delightful Key Lime Pie Bars with a refreshing citrus flavor, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter (melted)
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14-ounce)
  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 0.5 cup fresh key lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons key lime zest
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
  • 2 tablespoons key lime and/or lemon zest (for topping, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare an 8 or 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a medium bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan and bake for about 7 minutes.
  4. Lower the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, fresh key lime juice, and key lime zest.
  5. Pour the filling over the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes until the filling is set but slightly jiggly.
  7. Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes

Serve chilled for best flavor and texture. Great with whipped cream or fresh fruit.
