A classic Caesar salad with crispy sourdough croutons and a creamy dressing, perfect for a light lunch or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head Romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups Sourdough bread, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 Egg yolk

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the sourdough bread into small cubes. Toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Whisk together the egg yolk, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking to create a creamy dressing.
