A luxurious triple-layer chocolate mousse cake featuring a rich chocolate cake base, silky dark chocolate mousse, and a lighter milk chocolate mousse — the ultimate showstopping dessert for true chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Cake Layer:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 large egg

1/2 cup milk

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup hot water

Dark Chocolate Mousse:

8 oz dark chocolate, chopped

1 cup heavy cream

Milk Chocolate Mousse:

8 oz milk chocolate, chopped

1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.

2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Add egg, milk, oil, vanilla, and hot water; mix until smooth.

4. Pour batter into pan and bake for 18–22 minutes until set.

5. Cool cake completely in the pan.

6. For dark chocolate mousse, melt dark chocolate and let cool slightly.

7. Whip heavy cream to soft peaks and gently fold into melted dark chocolate.

8. Spread dark chocolate mousse evenly over the cooled cake layer and chill for 20 minutes.

9. Repeat process with milk chocolate mousse and spread on top.

10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set before slicing.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.

Chill between layers for clean, defined mousse layers.

Serve chilled with chocolate shavings or cocoa dust on top.
