Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown, allowing centers to remain slightly underbaked.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
