- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown, allowing centers to remain slightly underbaked.
- Cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
