Description

A fun and creative twist on traditional desserts, combining strawberries with cream cheese filling, all wrapped in sushi rice and nori.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Sweet rice (sushi rice)
  • Cream cheese
  • Sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Nori sheets (seaweed)

Instructions

  1. Cook the sweet rice according to package instructions and let it cool to room temperature.
  2. Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Lay a nori sheet shiny side down on a clean surface.
  4. Using wet hands, spread a thin layer of cooled rice evenly over the nori, leaving an inch at the top edge free.
  5. Slice strawberries and place them over the rice.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the strawberries.
  7. Roll the sushi tightly using a bamboo mat, wetting the edge slightly to seal the roll.
  8. Slice the sushi into bite-sized pieces with a wet knife.
  9. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for later.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Best enjoyed fresh.
