- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 6 oz strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 2 cups boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar in a large bowl and mix well.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan to form a crust.
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- Let it cool completely.
- Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Stir in the sliced strawberries into the gelatin mixture.
- Allow it to cool slightly before pouring it over the cream cheese layer.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, until set.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
For best results, make a day ahead to allow gelatin to set properly. Garnish with fresh strawberries or whipped cream.
