Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup strawberry jam or fresh sliced strawberries
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 tbsp water
Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Fresh mint or extra berries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
3. Cut puff pastry into 6 equal squares.
4. Spoon a tablespoon of cream cheese mixture into the center of each square.
5. Top with a small spoonful of strawberry jam or a few fresh strawberry slices.
6. Fold corners inward (or create a diamond shape) and pinch lightly to seal.
7. Whisk egg and water to make an egg wash, then brush over pastry tops.
8. Bake for 14–17 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
9. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle with melted white chocolate after baking.
