Description
A simple and delicious one-pan dish that combines savory sausage with sweet honey and garlic, tossed with pasta for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz pasta (such as penne or fusilli)
- 1 lb sausage (Italian or smoked, sliced)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
- Cook the sausage: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage to the skillet. Cook it for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sausage is browned and cooked through. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Make the sauce: While the sausage is cooking, you can prepare the sauce. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and soy sauce until well combined.
- Combine sauce and sausage: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked sausage in the skillet. Stir everything together to coat the sausage well in the sauce. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Add the pasta: Next, add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sausage and sauce. Toss everything together gently to ensure the pasta is thoroughly coated.
- Season: Finally, taste the dish and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
- Serve: Serve the pasta hot on plates and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
