Ingredients
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into strips
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to heat preference)
Salt and pepper to taste
8 small flour or corn tortillas
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
Fresh cilantro and lime wedges for serving
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
2. Toss chicken strips in the spice mixture until evenly coated.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Add chicken and cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
5. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 20 seconds.
6. Assemble tacos by layering chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.
7. Top with cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.
