- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- Whipped cream or ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the sliced bananas, brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Mix gently and spread the mixture in a greased baking dish.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just mixed.
- Pour the batter over the banana mixture in the baking dish without stirring.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
Notes
For best results, use overripe bananas, and feel free to experiment with additional spices or nuts.
