- 2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened, room temperature)
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (pure)
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together 2 cups of sifted all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 1/2 tsp of salt until well combined.
- Cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 cup of packed brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 2 large eggs and 2 tsp of pure vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- Combine the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just blended.
- Fold in 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers remain soft.
- Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
