Description

Rich, chewy cookies packed with chocolate chips that are perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened, room temperature)
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract (pure)
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together 2 cups of sifted all-purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 1/2 tsp of salt until well combined.
  3. Cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 cup of packed brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add 2 large eggs and 2 tsp of pure vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  5. Combine the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until just blended.
  6. Fold in 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop rounded portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
