Description

Enjoy the classic flavors of a smash burger in a lighter, bun-free version with these customizable Smash Burger Bowls.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 medium red potatoes, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup onions, caramelized
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ cup sliced pickles (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (about 200°C) and cook seasoned potatoes for 16 to 18 minutes, shaking halfway.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, then add sliced onions; cook for 10 to 15 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, smash into the pan, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until browned.
  5. Whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and Cajun seasoning in a small bowl.
  6. Assemble the bowls with crispy potatoes, ground beef, caramelized onions, and shredded cheese on top.
  7. Drizzle sauce on top and add optional toppings like pickles and lettuce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave.
