Description

A delightful dish that brings a taste of Korea to your kitchen with tender, flavorful beef in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  2. Add the beef chuck roast to the slow cooker and coat it with the sauce.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 420-480 minutes or on high for 240-300 minutes, until the beef is tender.
  4. Remove the beef, shred it with a fork, and return it to the slow cooker to soak up the juices.
  5. Serve the Korean beef over cooked rice, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

For added flavor, consider serving with kimchi or pickled vegetables. You can also create Korean Beef Tacos or a Korean Beef Bowl for variation.
