Description

Delightful cookies combining sweetness of caramel with a hint of salt, loaded with chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and salted caramel sauce until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
  8. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each dough ball.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers remain soft.
  10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
