Description

Delightful twist on traditional cookies combining classic chocolate chip flavor with a satisfying crunch from Rice Krispies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the vanilla and eggs one at a time.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the Rice Krispies and chocolate chips gently.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
