Description

This Orange Chicken Stir-Fry is a zesty, sweet, and savory sensation — tender chicken tossed in a bright, sticky orange glaze with crisp veggies. It’s fast, flavorful, and guaranteed to elevate your dinner game with a citrusy kick!

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

2 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

2 green onions, chopped

1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

**Orange Sauce:**

1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)

1 tbsp orange zest

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp rice vinegar

2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp grated fresh ginger

1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (for thickening)

Instructions

1. In a bowl, toss chicken with soy sauce and cornstarch until evenly coated.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.

4. In the same pan, add bell pepper and broccoli. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.

5. Whisk together all orange sauce ingredients (except cornstarch slurry) in a bowl.

6. Pour sauce into the pan and bring to a simmer.

7. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

8. Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.

9. Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with green onions.

10. Serve hot over jasmine rice or noodles.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.

Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness.

Substitute maple syrup for honey for a deeper sweetness.

Make it vegetarian with crispy tofu or cauliflower.

Perfect for meal prep — reheats beautifully and stays flavorful for days!
