Description

A delicious and easy meal combining tender chicken, orzo pasta, and fresh ingredients cooked together in one pan.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare a large oven-safe pan. Heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Cook the chicken pieces in the pan, seasoning with salt and pepper. Brown on both sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the orzo pasta and chicken broth. Pour in the lemon juice and zest, then stir everything to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, allowing small bubbles to form.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and orzo is tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve.
