Description

Delightful lemon bars with a buttery crust and tangy lemon filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  4. Whisk together sugar, lemon juice, eggs, lemon zest, and baking powder in another bowl.
  5. Pour the lemon filling over the crust in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until the filling is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
  8. Serve topped with powdered sugar, if desired.
