Description

Fun, spooky Monster Cakesicles that are perfect for Halloween parties! These adorable cake popsicles are made with moist cake and frosting, coated in colorful chocolate, and decorated with candy eyes and sprinkles for a frightfully fun treat.

Ingredients

Scale

1 box chocolate or vanilla cake mix (plus ingredients on box)

1/2 cup frosting (buttercream or cream cheese)

12 oz candy melts (various colors: green, purple, orange)

1 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)

Candy eyes (various sizes)

Sprinkles, edible glitter, or colored drizzle

Cakesicle molds

Popsicle sticks

Instructions

1. Bake the cake according to package directions and let it cool completely.

2. Crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.

3. Mix in frosting a spoonful at a time until the mixture holds together like dough.

4. Scoop small portions and press firmly into cakesicle molds.

5. Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for 30–45 minutes until firm.

6. Melt candy melts with coconut oil until smooth and glossy.

7. Remove chilled cakesicles and carefully coat them in melted candy using a spoon or by dipping.

8. Place on parchment paper and decorate immediately with candy eyes and sprinkles.

9. Allow to set completely before serving or packaging for your party.

Notes

Use different colored melts for a variety of monsters — green for Frankenstein, purple for witches, orange for pumpkins!

If the candy coating thickens, reheat it gently in the microwave for 10 seconds.

Store cakesicles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Perfect for kids’ parties, Halloween dessert tables, or edible gifts.
