Description

Silky, rich, and absolutely irresistible — this Homemade Fettuccine Alfredo is pasta perfection in every bite! With fresh fettuccine coated in a luscious Parmesan cream sauce, it’s the ultimate comfort dish that’s elegant yet easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz fresh or dried fettuccine

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Extra Parmesan for serving

Instructions

1. Cook fettuccine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.

2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic (if using) and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth and creamy.

5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing gently to coat evenly.

6. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.

7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan — pre-shredded cheese won’t melt as smoothly.

For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.

Add grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.

Perfect for romantic dinners, family meals, or when you crave a restaurant-quality pasta at home!
