A delightful twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak using ground beef, savory onions, and provolone cheese.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 hoagie rolls
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned; season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the cooked beef and onion mixture on the hoagie rolls.
- Top with shredded provolone cheese.
- Place the filled hoagie rolls on a baking sheet and bake for about 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Choose ground beef with a good fat content (80/20) for more flavor. You can also toast the hoagie rolls before adding the filling for extra crunch.
