- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, and salt, mixing thoroughly.
- Pour in the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about five minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a covered bowl in a warm spot for about one hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Grease a muffin tin with olive oil.
- Punch down the risen dough, divide into 12 pieces, and shape each piece into a ball.
- Place dough balls in the muffin tin, topping with minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and a pinch of coarse salt.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, monitoring to prevent burning.
- Cool muffins in the pan for five minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, use fresh ingredients and allow the dough to rise fully. They can be stored in an airtight container for two days or frozen for longer storage.
