- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 3–4 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.
- Mix the softened butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and mix until fully combined.
- Mash the bananas in a separate bowl until smooth.
- Combine the mashed bananas and vanilla with the wet mixture.
- Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt, and fold gently into the wet mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the banana bread in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding nuts or chocolate chips. Be sure to let the bread cool completely before slicing for a better texture.
