Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 34 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Mix the softened butter and sugar in a bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and mix until fully combined.
  5. Mash the bananas in a separate bowl until smooth.
  6. Combine the mashed bananas and vanilla with the wet mixture.
  7. Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt, and fold gently into the wet mixture.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the banana bread in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding nuts or chocolate chips. Be sure to let the bread cool completely before slicing for a better texture.
