- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix

Instructions
- Slice off the tops and bottoms of each mini onion and gently peel away the outer skin.
- Cut each onion into 12 to 16 segments, keeping the base intact to maintain the blooming effect.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until even.
- Pour buttermilk into a separate bowl and coat each onion in it.
- Roll the onions in the flour mixture to ensure they are well-coated.
- Heat oil in a pot or fryer to 375°F (190°C) with enough depth for frying.
- Fry the onions in batches until golden brown (about 3 to 5 minutes).
- Remove fried onions and drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix buttermilk and ranch seasoning until smooth for the dip.
