Description

A delightful twist on traditional calzones filled with tender chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce, and gooey cheese wrapped in a crispy crust.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup mixed cheeses (mozzarella, Parmesan, etc.)
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • Olive oil (for brushing)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the filling: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, and your choice of cheeses until well combined.
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut it into 4-5 inch squares.
  3. Stuff the calzones: Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each square of dough.
  4. Seal the edges: Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges tightly.
  5. Brush with olive oil: Lightly brush the outside of each calzone with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Preheat the air fryer: Set to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  7. Air fry the calzones: Place in the basket and cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve and enjoy: Let cool slightly before serving hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

Using rotisserie chicken can save time. Customize fillings and seasonings to your taste.
