- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the can of diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slowly stir in the heavy cream until well combined.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the creamy tomato sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
