Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

2. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
3. Add garlic and tomato paste; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
