Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Add the chicken breasts and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned on both sides (5-7 minutes per side).
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine and scrape up brown bits.
  5. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add the rice and stir to coat evenly.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, placing it on top of the rice.
  8. Cover the skillet with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and cook for about 20 minutes.
  9. Check if the rice is tender, then fluff gently with a fork.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
