Description

A delightful twist on traditional banana bread, combining the flavors of banana bread with cinnamon rolls.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (or non-dairy alternative)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
  4. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  5. Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, then mix in the flour until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
  8. Swirl the mixture with a knife gently.
  9. Bake for about 60-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  11. Let the bread cool for 10-15 minutes, then drizzle the glaze over the top.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for sweeter bread. Mix gently to avoid tough texture.
