- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Cooking spray or additional butter for the pan
Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine the milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl, mixing until well blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, leaving a few lumps.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and grease it lightly with cooking spray or butter.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes; flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
Notes
Pancakes can be customized with chocolate chips, blueberries, or nuts as mix-ins.
