Description

Fluffy and golden-brown classic pancakes that are easy to make and perfect for a warm breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Cooking spray or additional butter for the pan

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Combine the milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl, mixing until well blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, leaving a few lumps.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and grease it lightly with cooking spray or butter.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes; flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.

Notes

Pancakes can be customized with chocolate chips, blueberries, or nuts as mix-ins.
