- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats and brown sugar.
- Pour in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Add baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt. Stir until a thick batter forms.
- Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool, then mix powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk to make the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bars and let set.
- Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
