Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the creamy peanut butter and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients without overmixing.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts.
  7. Drop rounded balls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.
