Description

A delicious blend of ground chicken mixed with fresh herbs and spices, served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup chopped herbs (parsley, cilantro)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for kofta)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers (optional, for grilling)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for the sauce)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, herbs, 2 cloves minced garlic (for kofta), cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into oval patties or cylindrical shapes; optionally thread onto soaked wooden skewers.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat; cook koftas for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked (internal temperature 165°F).
  4. In a bowl, mix yogurt, 2 cloves minced garlic (for sauce), olive oil, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  5. Serve cooked koftas warm with garlic yogurt sauce.

Notes

For added flavor, use a mix of white and dark meat ground chicken. Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
