- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup chopped herbs (parsley, cilantro)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (for kofta)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wooden skewers (optional, for grilling)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (for the sauce)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, herbs, 2 cloves minced garlic (for kofta), cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Shape the mixture into oval patties or cylindrical shapes; optionally thread onto soaked wooden skewers.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat; cook koftas for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked (internal temperature 165°F).
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, 2 cloves minced garlic (for sauce), olive oil, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Serve cooked koftas warm with garlic yogurt sauce.
Notes
For added flavor, use a mix of white and dark meat ground chicken. Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
