Description

Crisp, flavorful, and ready in just 15 minutes — this Chicken and Green Bean Stir-Fry is pure weeknight magic! Tender chicken, snappy green beans, and a savory garlic-ginger sauce make for a healthy, satisfying meal that’s faster (and better) than takeout.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thin

2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed

2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp grated fresh ginger

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp honey or brown sugar

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.

2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

3. Add chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. Add remaining oil to the pan, then toss in green beans.

5. Sauté for 3–4 minutes, until tender-crisp.

6. Add garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using), cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.

7. Return chicken to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.

8. Stir well and cook for another 1–2 minutes, until sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.

9. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

10. Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

Swap green beans for broccoli, snow peas, or bell peppers for variety.

Add a squeeze of lime juice for a bright, tangy finish.

Use chicken thighs for a juicier stir-fry.

Perfect for busy weeknights — high-protein, low effort, and packed with flavor!
