Description

Delightful cookies filled with fresh cherries and rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture; mix until fully combined.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped cherries and dark chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are set yet centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with a glass of milk or coffee. These cookies can also be frozen for up to three months.
