- 1 package of taco seasoning
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or shredded chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 package of crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- Cooking spray or olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the crescent roll dough package instructions (usually 375°F or 190°C).
- Combine cooked ground beef or shredded chicken with taco seasoning in a mixing bowl. Stir in shredded cheese, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, and optional jalapeños.
- Open the package of crescent roll dough and unroll it carefully.
- Take a spoonful of the taco mixture and place it at the wide end of each triangle of dough.
- Roll up the dough starting from the wide end, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Place the rolled taco sticks on a baking sheet, leaving space between each. Lightly spray with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
- Bake according to the crescent dough instructions (about 12-15 minutes), or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with salsa or sour cream for dipping.
