- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 brioche buns
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks, about 7-10 minutes.
- Mix in the Cajun seasoning, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes on low heat.
- Melt the butter in a separate saucepan over low heat. Whisk in the heavy cream until combined, then gradually add the cheddar cheese, stirring until melted.
- Toast the brioche buns until golden brown.
- Assemble the Cajun chicken mixture onto the toasted buns and drizzle with the cheese sauce. Serve immediately.
Notes
You can adjust the spice level and try different cheese options for variety. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
