Description

A delightful twist on traditional pasta dishes, combining creamy Alfredo sauce with spicy Cajun flavors, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup cooked chicken (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbling.
  3. Pour 1 cup of heavy cream into the melted butter and stir in 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning to combine.
  4. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
  5. Gently add the cooked tortellini and chicken (if using) into the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of cream or milk if necessary.
