- 2 cups cheese tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup cooked chicken (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbling.
- Pour 1 cup of heavy cream into the melted butter and stir in 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning to combine.
- Gradually whisk in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
- Gently add the cooked tortellini and chicken (if using) into the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of cream or milk if necessary.
