Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the cold butter and cut it in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Combine the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and chopped strawberries until just mixed.
  5. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface until it holds together.
  6. Shape it into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into wedges.
  7. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the scones on it.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
