Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Sprinkles or heart-shaped candies for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking pan with butter or baking spray.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter until smooth.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and mix until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mix, stirring gently until combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until set but slightly soft in the middle.
  10. Cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
