Description

Delicious and fluffy cinnamon rolls flavored with Biscoff cookie butter, perfect for breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Biscoff cookie butter
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast: Combine warm milk, active dry yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg to dry ingredients. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Knead the Dough: Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let the Dough Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, approximately 12×16 inches.
  7. Spread the Cookie Butter: Evenly spread Biscoff cookie butter over the rolled-out dough.
  8. Add Cinnamon and Sugar: Mix ground cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle over the cookie butter.
  9. Roll and Cut the Dough: Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 1-1.5 inch pieces.
  10. Prepare for Baking: Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake the Rolls: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  13. Make the Icing: Mix powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.
  14. Drizzle Icing: Allow rolls to cool slightly before drizzling icing on top.
