Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually taking about 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients by beating the eggs, then adding milk, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
  5. Ladle the appropriate amount of batter into the preheated waffle maker and cook for about 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
