Description
This Beef Stir-Fry is pure weeknight magic — tender strips of beef tossed in a glossy, flavorful sauce with crisp vegetables, all ready in just 15 minutes. It’s quick, satisfying, and way better (and faster!) than takeout.
Ingredients
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1/2 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
**Sauce:**
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1/4 cup beef broth
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
Instructions
1. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Set aside to marinate for 5 minutes.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients and set aside.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
4. Add beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
5. Add bell pepper, broccoli, onion, garlic, and ginger to the pan. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
6. Return beef to the pan and pour in the sauce.
7. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly (about 1–2 minutes).
8. Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions.
Notes
Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
Don’t overcrowd the pan — cook beef in batches if needed.
Add a splash of chili oil for heat or a squeeze of lime for brightness.
Use whatever veggies you have — snow peas, carrots, or mushrooms work great.
Perfect for meal prep — keeps well for 3–4 days in the fridge.
