A classic dessert featuring creamy pudding layered with ripe bananas and crunchy vanilla wafers, perfect for any gathering.

- 4 ripe bananas
- 1 box of vanilla wafers
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cooled pudding mixture.
- In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and the pudding mixture. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
- Top with additional whipped cream and vanilla wafers if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.
Notes
For optimal freshness, serve chilled and consume within 3 days. Use lemon juice to prevent bananas from browning.
