Description

A classic dessert featuring creamy pudding layered with ripe bananas and crunchy vanilla wafers, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 box of vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  2. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cooled pudding mixture.
  3. In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and the pudding mixture. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  4. Top with additional whipped cream and vanilla wafers if desired.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.

Notes

For optimal freshness, serve chilled and consume within 3 days. Use lemon juice to prevent bananas from browning.
