Description

A delightful twist on the classic French dip sandwich, these biscuits are filled with tender roast beef and gooey Swiss cheese, served with warm beef broth for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of biscuit dough
  • 2 cups of cooked roast beef, shredded
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 cup of Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the shredded roast beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Open the biscuit dough and separate it into individual biscuits.
  4. Flatten each biscuit to about a 4-5 inch diameter.
  5. Place a scoop of the beef mixture on top of each flattened biscuit.
  6. Top each with a sprinkle of shredded Swiss cheese.
  7. Fold the biscuit over to form a pocket and seal the edges tightly.
  8. Place the filled biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Heat the beef broth in a saucepan until warm.
  11. Serve the baked biscuits with warm beef broth for dipping.

Notes

Serve warm alongside a small bowl of beef broth for dipping. Consider adding sides like a green salad or potato wedges.
