- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Mix the milk, applesauce, and vanilla extract in another bowl until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples gently.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fritters are golden brown and cooked through.
- Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze in a small bowl.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters and serve immediately.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
