Quick and healthy air fryer chicken breast recipe with a flavorful marinade.

- 4 thick chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
- 4 tbsp yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1 tsp pul biber or extra paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by giving each breast shallow diagonal cuts about 1/4 inch deep.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Zest the lemon, then gather all marinade ingredients.
- Mix 4 tbsp yogurt, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tbsp tomato paste, 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard, zest of one lemon, salt, sweet paprika, pul biber, cumin, dried parsley, garlic granules, and pepper together until combined.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and coat them well.
- Cover the container and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Line the air fryer basket with damp parchment paper if desired.
- Carefully place the chicken in the air fryer basket, scored side down, and cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip the chicken breasts over and cook for another 10-12 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 2-5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use thick boneless skinless chicken breasts and do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
