Description

Delightful Air Fryer Cheesy Mashed Potato Balls made with creamy mashed potatoes and melty cheese, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions or chives
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, chopped green onions (or chives), and the egg. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Shape the balls: Take small amounts of the mixture and form into balls, about the size of a golf ball. Ensure they are tightly packed.
  3. Coat with breadcrumbs: Roll each ball in the breadcrumbs until completely coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  5. Place the balls in the air fryer basket in a single layer, spraying lightly with cooking spray or brushing with olive oil.
  6. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through.
  7. Serve warm for best taste and texture.

Notes

Pair with dipping sauces like ranch, marinara, or sour cream. Can be made with leftover mashed potatoes.
